Elkhart Building and Grounds

The mission of the Building and Grounds Department is to provide building and grounds maintenance that assures building integrity and public safety within the economic guidelines provided.  The Building and Grounds staff maintain fourteen buildings ranging from the Elkhart County Courthouse built in 1870 to the new state of the art 100,000 sq. ft. Criminal Justice Facility.

Our staff includes twelve full-time maintenance personnel, a custodial supervisor, five full-time custodians and three part-time custodians.

Elkhart County Courts Building

The Elkhart County Courts Building is located in the City of Elkhart, at 315 S. Second Street, Elkhart, IN.  The following Offices can be found at this building location:
           

Upon entering the building you will be required to pass through metal detectors.  No guns, knives or weapons of any kind may be taken into the building.


Elkhart County Public Services Building 

The Elkhart County Public Services Building is located at 4230 Elkhart Rd., Goshen, IN 46526, near the intersection of US33 and CR15, in Goshen, IN. The following Offices can be found at this building location:

Various permits, zoning information, water quality, environmental health services matters and drainage questions can be answered at this location.
